Raven K Cokley
Raven K. Cokley, M.Ed., NCC, is a fourth-year doctoral candidate in Counseling and Student PersonnelServices at the University of Georgia. Raven identifies as a school and community-based mental health counselor, social justice educator, and college and career readiness coach. Born in Sarasota, FL, Raven graduated from the University of Central Florida, where she earned a Bachelor’s of Science in psychology. She later attended the University of Georgia, where she earned a Master’s of Education in professional Community Counseling.
As a clinician, Raven specializes in using culturally-affirming
group interventions to assist students of Color in navigating various social, emotional, cultural, and
academic stressors. As a college and career readiness coach, Raven has professional experiences
providing academic support to underrepresented students. In her spare time, Raven enjoys blogging,
traveling abroad, solo trips to the movies, and watching her favorite television show, The Golden Girls.
